Default store `instantiateRecord` hook that creates a `ReactiveResource` for a
 resource key from its registered schema.
---

# instantiateRecord()

```ts
function instantiateRecord(
 store: Store,
 identifier: ResourceKey,
 createArgs?: Record<string, unknown>
): ReactiveResource;
```

Defined in: [warp-drive-packages/core/src/reactive/-private/hooks.ts:23](https://github.com/warp-drive-data/warp-drive/blob/48dc0d277b98008082669dadc6a52e5c5682ef8e/warp-drive-packages/core/src/reactive/-private/hooks.ts#L23)

The store's default `instantiateRecord` hook implementation, which
produces a [ReactiveResource](../types/ReactiveResource.md) for `identifier` using the resource
schema registered for its type.

`createArgs` are only applied (via `Object.assign`) when the resource's
schema is `legacy`, matching the historical behavior of assigning initial
properties when creating a new legacy record.
